Xtire exclusive formula seals tire punctures instantly from the inside out, avoiding air loss. The vehicle's regular motion makes the product creates a thin preventive protecting layer against punctures inside the tire or tube. When a puncture occurs, the internal tire pressure forces Xtire Sealant particles direct into the hole, instantly sealing it.
Xtire Sealant can be applied on new tires, used tires and retread tires. The tires must be within the expiration date and with minimum tread depth. The most widely accepted minimum tread depth standard is 1.6 mm (2/32”). Below that the tires should be removed from service.
Different than other sealants, Xtire is presented in a ready to use and single packaging with right amount of sealant for each tire for motorcycles, bicycles and automobiles. Commercial and industrial vehicles should follow the Xtire Sealant Dosage Table.
No. In fact the Xtire Sealant helps tires maintain the pressure by reducing air loss through inner liner and the natural rubber porosity. The use of Xtire does not change the pressure indicated by the vehicle’s manufacturer.
Yes. The Xtire Sealant lowers the internal temperature of the tires and reduces air loss through inner liner and the natural rubber porosity. These actions will maintain the tire pressure for longer time, contributing to extend the tire’s life.
Yes. The Xtire Sealant lowers the internal temperature of the tires and reduces air loss through inner liner and the natural rubber porosity. These actions will maintain the tire pressure for longer time, contributing to increase fuel mileage.
No. The Xtire Sealant formula contains antioxidant which protects tires, rims and wheels.
A valve stem is a self-contained valve which opens to admit gas to a chamber (such as air to inflate a tire), and is then automatically closed and kept sealed by the pressure in the chamber, or a spring, or both, to prevent the gas from escaping. The metal cylinder inside the valve stem which does this function is called valve core.
The Schrader valve is a type of pneumatic tire valve used on virtually every motor vehicle in the world today. The Presta valve is more often found on high-end performance bicycles.
Please clean up the valve stem to eliminate sealant residues with compressed air after sealant application and before reinstalling the valve core. This will avoid valve clog.
No. Xtire sealant is a flat prevention product and not to be used if your tire is already punctured.
Yes. The Xtire Sealant allows to inflate tires with compressed air or nitrogen.
A run-flat tire is a pneumatic vehicle tire that is designed to resist the effects of deflation when punctured, and to enable the vehicle to continue to be driven at reduced speeds, and for limited distances.
Although you can continue driving a car equipped with “run-flat” tires even when a tire is punctured, you need to reduce speed and drive only for limited distances. The bad conditions of the road floor can irreparable damage the tire forcing you to replace it. Remember that a “run-flat” tire is much more expensive than an ordinary one. Use Xtire on you “run-flat” tires. Avoid flat tires and save money
No. You should not reuse the sealant, because there is always a product loss during disassembling the tire as well as the risk of product contamination.
We recommend using a tire jack to install Xtire Sealant in Passenger Cars, Commercial and Industrial vehicles. By using this simple procedure, you will avoid the tire to separate from the rim.
No. Each Xtire Sealant has own formula and characteristics that works for each type of vehicle/tire. Please check the types of vehicles and tires of each Xtire Sealant Formula before application.
Just rinses off with water to easily remove the sealant.
Yes. The vehicle tires treated with Xtire should be professionally repaired with an RMA approved patch/plug at your earliest convenience. Inform the shop technician that Xtire is in the tire.
Yes. Besides that, the product may increase the number of retreads, since it contributes to keep the structure of the tires better preserved.
Xtire seals punctures only in the tread area made by objects up to 1/4” in diameter on tubeless tires and 1/8” in diameter on tires with inner tubes. Xtire Sealant does not seal cuts from glass or metal, large punctures, bead leaks, pinch flats and sidewall punctures.
The puncture may not have adequately sealed on the first attempt. Please re-inflate the tire and immediately drive the vehicle for about 1 mile. This forces the sealant to flow around the tire or inner tube allowing to locate and seal the puncture. Be sure to check your valve to ensure air loss is not occurring at this source. However, there are many other variables to consider when a tire gets punctured. For this reason, that no sealant can absolutely guarantee that you will never get a flat tire. For this reason, always carry a spare or emergency backup solution.
No. The amount of sealant defined for each type of vehicle and size of tires is formulated to avoid flat tires without affecting the wheels balance neither the steering.
No. Although is possible to balance the wheels with the sealant inside, the procedure is not known by everyone. We recommend balancing the wheel before application.
No. Please do not apply Xtire Sealant on tires with another product. In this case, before applying Xtire Sealant the product inside the tire must be completely removed.
Yes. When properly installed, Xtire Sealant does not alter the function of most TPMS system. Both wheel mounted and valve-stem mounted TPMS are compatible with Xtire Sealant. However, we recommend checking with the manufacturer first, as in some the use of sealants this may void the TPMS warranty.
Yes. Most of armored cars use metal or nylon straps that will keep the tire in place for a longer time when driving with flat tires in order to escape from a dangerous zone or situation. However, after that the tires will be completely damaged and will need to be replaced. Use Xtire in your armored car and increase the level of protection.
